Established in 2002, the Manipal School of Life Sciences (MSLS) is a constituent unit of MAHE and a leading centre for education, research, and innovation in the life sciences. Recognised as a TIFAC-CORE in Pharmacogenomics, MSLS offers programs spanning biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, human genetics, genome engineering, and tissue engineering. Its research is supported by agencies including DBT, ICMR, DST and BRNS, alongside industry partners.

With 1,700+ research outputs, advanced laboratories, and collaborations with leading universities in Australia, Europe, the UK and beyond, MSLS combines intensive research exposure with interdisciplinary learning, preparing students for careers in biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, academia, and scientific innovation.
