Report on Story Writing Competition

The Education Committee of the Student Nurses Association of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, conducted a ‘Story writing competition’ on October 27, 2023, between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Story writing involves the craft of weaving a narrative in which an author eloquently recounts a sequence of events that not only introduces a central dilemma but also intricately follows its evolution through the narrative, ultimately leading to a compelling resolution. The competition boasted the enthusiastic participation of 30 students, organized into groups of three, drawing on their college affiliations. Each student harnessed their imaginative prowess to craft unique stories, captivating the audience and presenting them to the discerning panel of judges. Dr. Maria Pais and Mrs. Ranjini, both esteemed members of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing at MCON, MAHE, took on the significant role of adjudicating the competition. The first place was bagged by Ms Shravya Chacko, Ms Nireeksha Kamath, and Ms Deepti from III year BSc. Nursing; second place was taken by Ms. Varada R, Ms Ancy Baiju, and Ms. Hanna Maria Sabu from I year BSc. Nursing, third place was taken by Ms. Diya George, Ms. Rosemi Ann Reji and Ms. Elizabeth from II year BSc. Nursing.
