From Mechanical Concepts to Industry-Ready Solutions

The B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares you for professional engineering roles in various streams of mechanical engineering. You gain strong grounding in machines, materials, fluids, thermal systems, and manufacturing. The curriculum covers Theory of Machines, Design of Machine Elements, Materials Science, Manufacturing Technologies, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Automation, Industry 4.0, and advanced Industrial Engineering Concepts, combining classroom study with labs, projects, and industry-linked work to build analytical and system-level engineering skills. Before entering the third year, students may choose to specialize in Automobile Engineering or Industrial Engineering. The selected specialization will be mentioned on the degree certificate. Additional specializations may be introduced in the future.
