Shaping the future of public health with innovation, excellence, and a global vision

Drive transformative change and targeted interventions for healthier communities
Established in 2009 as the Department of Public Health, the Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH) became a constituent unit of MAHE in 2017. Asia’s first/only APHEA-accredited public health institution, PSPH brings together Public Health, Hospital Administration, Social Work, Biostatistics, Data Science and Health Technology Assessment programs.
Our MPH program is ranked 201–300 globally in the Shanghai Ranking (2023) and 4th in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2024, while MSW program is ranked 1st among Emerging Social Work Colleges and 14th overall in India by India Today–MDRA 2025.
With extensive field exposure, interdisciplinary research, a dedicated Research Cell and Innovation Cell, and collaborations with UNICEF, the European Union, leading universities, corporates and NGOs, PSPH prepares professionals to address complex public health challenges and create meaningful societal impact.
Internships and Placements
Welcome to the Prasanna School of Public Health at MAHE, where we are dedicated to promoting health and achieving disease control through comprehensive public health education and capacity building. As we navigate the rapid epidemiological transition in India and South Asia, our focus is on equipping individuals with critical skills in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy, health and hospital management, social work, regulatory science, and related areas.
At PSPH, we take pride in offering Master's level courses that are meticulously designed to create a workforce 'fit for purpose,' ready to meet the diverse needs of governments, industry, and academia. Our school has emerged as a leader in public health education, and we are committed to reaching new heights through innovative learning approaches that emphasize hands-on experience.
