Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
Provides postgraduate teaching in Healthcare and Hospital Management through interactive, student-centered learning, hospital postings, project supervision, and curriculum innovation. Guides postgraduate and PhD scholars in research, thesis work, publications, and conference presentations in areas including healthcare management, health literacy, digital health, infection prevention, and health systems research.
Leads academic, research, and administrative activities as Head of the Department of Healthcare and Hospital Management and Coordinator of the Manipal Health Literacy Unit. Actively contributes to policy dialogue and policy development with ICMR headquarter, evidence-based practice, quality assurance, grant writing, consultancy, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Continuously updates professional knowledge through national and international conferences, workshops, and professional development programmes.
Serves as a mentor to students both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging innovation, research, leadership, and community engagement. Actively participates in departmental and institutional academic initiatives while fostering excellence in teaching, research, and healthcare management education.
