Manipal Institute of Applied Physics (MIAP), Manipal

Established in 2008, the Manipal Institute of Applied Physics (MIAP), MAHE, is an interdisciplinary hub for advanced education and research in Photonics, Biophotonics, Nanoscience & Technology, Structural Biology and Environmental Sciences. MIAP is supported under the DST-FIST scheme and has received Centre of Excellence support from VGST, Government of Karnataka.

Through the Centre for Applied Nanosciences and Centre of Excellence for Biophotonics, MIAP advances research in areas such as laser spectroscopy, nanotechnology, optical diagnostics, plasmonics, optofluidics, crystallography and biophysics. Our research ecosystem currently accounts for 750+ research outputs and 35+ specialised research equipment assets, complemented by active collaborations spanning institutions across Asia, Europe, North America, Australia and Africa.
