The Bachelor of Respiratory Technology (B.RT) program at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, MAHE trains you to provide advanced respiratory care and life-support management for critically ill patients. Across four years, including a full-year internship, you gain the expertise to assist in ventilatory support, pulmonary diagnostics, and emergency care procedures for adults, children, and neonates.

At MAHE, you study within a collaborative hospital environment where learning extends from simulation labs to real-time patient care. Program Eligibility

QUALIFICATION

Indian Boards

You must have successfully completed 10+2 or an equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCB.

A Levels

You must have successfully completed A Levels with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the A Level, English at the AS Level, and obtained a in PCB.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

You must have successfully completed the IB Diploma or IB Certificate with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with minimum Grade D average and an average of at least 4 points in PCB and an overall minimum of 24 points. You must also have: • A minimum of 3 points in each subject • 3 Higher Level (HL) and 3 Standard Level (SL) subjects • At least 2 science subjects at HL • The third science subject and English may be taken at either HL or SL

You must appear for MET 2027 and secure the required cutoff.

Continuation of Scholarship

The award of Fee Waiver for the subsequent years will be the same as given at the time of admission in the first year. Scholarship will be extended in the subsequent year only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of previous year before the due date for payment of annual program fee. Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for fee waiver for that academic year. Fee Waiver will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

Withdrawal Policy

In case the candidate leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.
