Academic activities are new areas where the department is seriously concerned as its future programmes. Short-term courses are proposed for both Ayurvedic as well as Allopathic doctors in view to expand the clinical experience gained in the department as well as to promote better collaboration between experts of different systems of medicine. In the past, delegations of doctors/ students from Japan and U.S.A. have visited our department for training in Ayurveda. Three doctors from Japan, one from U.K. and two health workers from the U.S.A. have undergone teaching and training in the past. About 100 Japanese medical students underwent summer training here.
