Postgraduate classes are held every day consisting of seminars, case discussions, journal clubs and histopathology. Weekly MCQ and theory tests are taken as a part of internal assessment. Special training is imparted to the postgraduates to do dermato surgery procedures and handle dermatotherapeutic equipments. Postgraduate students take active part in clinical society meetings and dermatopathology meetings. They are encouraged to participate in international, national, zonal and state conferences. They are encouraged to presents papers and participate in various competitions.

Postgraduates are deputed to outreach camps held by KMC hospital and the community medicine department, to rural areas. Medicine and dental postgraduates undergo short term training in department.
