Guest Lectures:

Technical presentations by experts in the various fileds of Chemical Engineering have been regularly arranged. Dr. Vivek Apte, Principal Fire Engineer, Umow Lai Enginuity Pvt Ltd, Australia gave a talk on
“Current Issues in Fire Safety Engineering”. Mr. Jamil Ahmed Process Engineer, Qatar Gas Operating Company Limited, Doha- Qatar, gave a presentation on “ Natural Gas Value Chain- World gas production, consumption & Reserve”

Campus- Industry collaboration program between MIT and Hindustan Unilver (HUL):

Under this programme, scientists from HUL visit the Chemical Engineering department to give lectures on various current industrial research topics. Dr. Janhavi Raut, Senior Scientist, Hindustan Unilever Research Center, Bangalore, gave a talk on “Innovations in Nanotechnology in the field of FMCG”. Also two students have been given employment in HUL.
