Students from our department have won several laurels. In 2007-08, Ms.Lorraine Anne Gunnion was the winner of Intra-College Student debate competition. In 2008-09, Ms.Neha secured first place in "Mosquito Zapper (GDC)" event at Shaastra-2008 conducted at I.I.T, Chennai. Also, in the same year, Ms. Roopali Dhingra won the GE Foundation Scholar-leaders Award for the period 2008-10.

Among the first batch of students from our department, the highest score in GATE Examination was 99.6 percentile, scored by Mr.Arjun Rastogi. Of the 40 students, more than 15 qualified in GRE and TOEFL, with high scores – 1590 out of 1600 in GRE and 115 out of 120 in TOEFL. More than 20 students have secured admission to MS, MBA and integrated PhD in world’s leading universities like Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-Boston, National University of Singapore (NUS), University College London (UCL), London School of Economics (LSE), Cornell University and the IITs, to name a few.
