Overview
The MIT Innovation Centre was established to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of MIT. The aim of the Centre is to nurture the Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurial skills of the students, faculty and people of the region. Facilitate inter-disciplinary Research and Innovation. Provide basic funding in the form of Seed Money. Provide resources for start-ups from students, faculty and the university. The focus of the centre is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. The centre provides incubation facilities to start ups and budding entrepreneurs.
Objectives

Encourage students and faculty of the university to take part in innovation, idea generation and product development

Provide seed money to transform an idea in to a product

Arrange workshops to sensitise the students and faculty to entrepreneurship

Patent awareness and patenting. Generate 10 patentable ideas per year

Facilitate at least two innovative products from the university useful for society
