We at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore are committed to produce skilled dental health professionals in all genres of oral health care management. The college has been encouraging the postgraduates and the staff alike to undertake various research assignments in the fields of oral health care promotion and prevention, oral cancer, HIV, dental material research etc. The undergraduate students are also trained to undertake short studies on various aspects like oral health counseling, tobacco related diseases and are encouraged to participate actively in national and international levels. The paper and poster presentations have brought accolades to the institution.
The various departments regularly conduct research for the development of dental sciences and the articles are regularly published in indexed journals. To promote interdepartmental research, clinical society meets are conducted every month to bring forth and enlighten the students and staff of the latest studies pursued in the institute. The CPD programmes invites guest lectures, workshops, hands on courses and demonstrations from experts in their respective fields from renowned institutions from India and abroad.
