  • The library will function from 9.00 AM to 8.00 PM

  • A student has to enrol first, as a member, to use the information centre facilities
  • Students are allowed to borrow three books (two books for graduate course students) for 14 days. The defaulters will be charged a fine of Rs. 2-00 per/day. At the end of the course they must return those library membership cards
  • Without the membership card, no books will be issued
  • If the books/ journals are required for photocopy, students can avail these materials for one hour against their college Identity card
  • If the Book CD’s are required for issue, students can avail these materials for one week against their SBI Combo Card
  • Students can avail borrowing facility from 9.00 AM to 7.45 PM
  • Reference books/ journals/ magazines/ bound journals/ project reports/ company reports will not be issued to the students. Project reports are strictly not available for reference or photocopy
  • All the students are requested to bring their college identity card issued from the college while coming to the library and it must be produced before the library staff if asked for identification
  • Books once issued to the students can only be read either in the reading room on the first and second floor of library or in their rooms and are not allowed inside the library
  • Students are not allowed to take books, files, printed materials or any other articles inside the library. Personal belongings must be kept outside the library in the property rack
  • Borrowing and returning of books must be done through the circulation counter. This facility is not available on Sundays and holidays
  • If the book is not returned even after one month from the due date, the matter will be reported to the Director for necessary action
  • Books issued from the lending section on borrower’s ticket cannot be returned on the same day
  • Students are requested not to replace the referred books; just return it at the counter
  • Books or any other literature taken for photocopy against college identity card must be returned within one hour. Defaulters will have to pay a fine of Rs. 25.00 per day per book or literature
  • Mutilation and disfiguring of pages of books are strictly prohibited. A person shall be held responsible for any damage done to the documents of the library. He has to replace such documents or to pay the value thereof. If a section is damaged from the document the whole set shall be liable to be replaced
  • If a library book is lost, the concerned student has to replace the book with a latest edition or has to pay double the latest cost of the book
  • Students must maintain perfect silence inside the library
  • Group discussion is not allowed in the main library. Group discussion is allowed only in the hall where it is specified
  • Smoking inside the library is strictly prohibited
  • Cellular phones are banned inside the library
  • Eatables are not allowed inside the library
  • Students wearing shorts are not allowed inside the library
  • A computer is kept at the circulation counter to browse/ search the information database in the library. Students can make use of this to find any information in- books, journals (current, as well as back issue), project reports, CD-ROMS, back volumes, UN documents, annual reports and newspaper clippings
  • CD-ROM version of online databases may be used in the institute computer lab
  • All the students must enter their name and registration number in the register kept at the entrance
  • Misuse of the Library facility may lead to withdrawal of membership and penal action by the institute
  • The above rules are meant for the maintenance of discipline inside the library and information centre. All library users are required to co-operate with this system and facilities for the smooth functioning of the centre
