The Kasturba Medical College Central Library, Mangalore came into being with the establishment of the college in 1953 and is situated in the KMC, Utility Building, Light House Hill Road, Mangalore. The library extends over 2025 Sq. meters on three floors with fully Air Conditioned, and is very useful for information seekers. It can accommodate over 400 users at a time. The users can utilize this library from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all week days. Besides traditional carriers of information such as books and journals, the library is well equipped with all modern facilities like CD/DVD’s, online journal & textbook databases. The library is automated with EASYLIB software.

The library aims to acquire Health Sciences Information and provide timely, accurate and current information and documents to its users for their teaching, research and academic achievements. The library contains the back volumes since 1955.
