Dr. TMA Pai International Conventional Centre, Mangalore

In keeping with world-class standards across all infrastructures built by the University, the majestic Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre, in the heart of Mangalore, primarily caters to the needs of the institutions in the coastal city of Dakshina Kannada.

The Dr.TMA Pai International Convention Centre at MG Road Mangalore covering an area of 16730 sqm, with a basement area of 4200 sqm is the best Convention Centre in India of an International standard with section wise centralized AC and other supporting amenities to accommodate 4000 people. The two shells with a height of 32.4 and 29.9 meters respectively from the basement with common lobby for entrance with elevators and escalator are the added attraction


FACILITIES

Conference halls

Well furnished three separate conference halls situated at ground floor of shell No.2 are meant for the conduct of conferences,seminars and conventions in various fields. The number one and three halls at the left and right of the central lobby are meant to accommodate 250 personnel each and central conference hall No.2 to accommodate 350 personnel, thus simultaneous conduct of three conferences made possible. A well furnished cafeteria is available along with the Conference halls to meet snack requirements


Auditorium/Function hall


The nerve center of the Convention Centre situated at the left side of first floor on shell No.1 has a sitting capacity of 1760 personnel. The 18x9 meters center stage has one green room each on either side(air conditioned). Reflected lighting and BOSS sound system have been provided with matching acoustic treatment. This 52 meter dia auditorium with 2045sqm plinth area , the largest shell in Asia , has four air conditioned double bedded guest rooms four each on either side of the Auditorium level one and two. The peak of the shell dome from the flooring of this hall is at 24.6 meters. Optical fibre sky lighting during dark hours adds luster to this fine work. Two additional entries , one each from either side to the auditorium ease out access to the hall from outside. The auditorium is centrally air conditioned to provide comfort with plush push back seats


Exhibition hall

The giant size exhibition hall at the first floor right side of shell 2 with a plinth area of 1400sqm and a dia of 42 meters can accommodate approx 750 persons and number of stalls depends on the size over this 163 meter outer perimeter wall. The peak of the shell from the flooring of this hall is 22.11 meters. It has an additional fire escape route for emergency use

Dining hall and kitchen

The area lying at the left side ground floor on shell one is the dining hall with a plinth area of 1780 sqm can accommodate approx.750 people. The dining area caters 80 dining tables and 320 chairs for sit down meals. The dining hall has direct access to kitchen( separate for Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian) Dish wash and Hand wash areas with exhaust and fresh air circulation facility. The kitchen and the dining hall are provided with smoke detectors and fire alarm systems. Two separate service entries are provided to the kitchen

Parking area

Parking arrangements for 400 cars and 200 two wheelers have been provided at the basement, ground floor, rear and frontal pavements of the building with fire hydrant sprinkler system above each car park bay.

Terms and conditions:


1. Booking will be done on calender day basis ie 6 AM to 11 PM
2. No part time booking will be made
3. All decorations/shifting of cooking utensils and cleaning/clearing the premises after the function will have to be done within the booking period. No extra grace time will be permitted for such activities
4. Electricity consumed from the time hall occupied till vacation of the premises will be charged
5. Activities will be strictly restricted only to the areas booked by the party
6. Vehicles will be parked only in designated parking areas ie in the basement or behind the Convention Centre
7. Rs.5,000/- will be deposited by the booking party as security deposit(refundable) in addition to the booking amount. Any breakage/damages etc will be recovered from this amount
8. No food will be cooked, fried ,heated, grilled etc in any area inside or outside the building other than the area designated as kitchen
9. No furniture will be shifted or moved from its existing location without the prior permission of the Administrator, Dr TMA Pai Convention Centre
10. Final bill to be settled by the party within 24 hrs. of the function

Electricity Rs.13/- per unit(subject to change)
Generator Rs.5/- per unit in addition to diesel charge as per market rate
Air-conditioning Rs.13/- per unit(subject to change)
House –Keeping/Security Rs.8000/- .
Linen Rs.100/-per room per day( 6 AM – 10 PM)

Mode of Payment:

25% of rental to be paid at the time of booking of the facility and the balance one month prior to the function date in the form of DD drawn in favour of  "Manipal Academy of Higher Education” No cash or cheque will be accepted
