International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. As part of this global celebration, MIT Bengaluru organized a special event on March 7, 2025, at the AB5 Auditorium to honor the strength, rights, and empowerment of women, aligning with this year’s theme: “For All Girls and Women: Right, Equality, and Empowerment.”

The event featured two inspiring guest speakers:

• Ms. Sunitha Shailendra – A reputed Dietitian, who spoke on women’s health, nutrition, and holistic well-being.
• Ms. Ahwathi Subramanian – A practicing Art Therapist, who enlightened the audience on the power of art as a tool for healing, expression, and self-discovery.
