Dr. Tusar Kanti Mishra
Dr. Tusar Kanti Mishra is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 21 years of experience. He has held prominent roles such as Head of the Department (HoD), President of IIC, E-Cell core committee member and many more. He is contributing significantly to academic planning and institutional innovation. He has been awarded the Erasmus-Mundus research fellowship at The RUG, The Netherlands, and the MHRD fellowship during his Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela. Dr. Mishra’s expertise spans pattern recognition, computer vision, artificial intelligence, IoT product development, and feature extraction, with more than 50 papers to his credit in various journals, conferences and book chapters. He has secured multiple research grants, including INR 30 lakhs from SERB, Government of India, and is guiding five ongoing Ph.D. candidates. He has also guided 01 international candidate, and he has also delivered International technical talk for the university of Binghamton. Dr. Mishra’s accolades include winning multiple hackathons and ideathons, such as the Smart India Hackathon (2022, 2023), and he holds 12 patents. His editorial roles include serving on boards like Plos One and Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence. Presently, Dr. Mishra is working as Associate Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE Bengaluru campus.
