Dr. Abhilash K. Tilak
Dr. Abhilash K. Tilak is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology Bengaluru. Additionally, he is also working as Workshop-in-Charge, E-Cell Dept. coordinator and IQAC coordinator at the institute. He is a member of the Bio-inspired Design and Optimization Centre (BIODOC) working on the Bioinspired designs effective for the thermal management in various applications. Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani, MTech. in Fluid & Thermal Engineering from IIT Guwahati, and B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from BIT Durg (CSVTU Bhilai). He has more than 10 years of teaching experience in various reputed colleges such as NITK Surathkal, NIT Goa, and BITS Pilani. He has published more than 7 journal publications with h index of 4 and i10 index of 3. He has been a reviewer in MDPI journals and many conferences. His research interests are Natural circulation loops, Supercritical fluids, Nonlinear stability analysis, Dynamic analysis of SCNCLs, Single and Two phase heat transfer in Microchannels, Nanofluids, Solar applications, Phase Change Materials (PCMs), and Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS). Presently he is guiding one PhD student in the area of Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS).
