Dr. Datuk Abdul Razzak
Pro Vice Chancellor
Datuk Dr Abdul Razzak took charge as the Pro Vice Chancellor, MAHE (formerly, Manipal University) in March 2011. He currently also holds the post of Chief Executive of Melaka Manipal Medical College, and he has been with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education at the Melaka-Manipal Medical College Malaysia, since 2000.

Datuk Dr. Abdul Razzak took charge as Pro Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education in March 2011. He is also currently the Chief Executive of Melaka Manipal Medical College. 

A Professor of Community Medicine, he has been with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education at the Melaka Manipal Medical College at Malaysia since 2000. He joined as an associate professor in the Department of Community Medicine and was subsequently appointed Deputy Dean, Faculty of Medicine. Through the years, he has been a guiding force for the institution’s growth.

Achievements

Datuk Dr. Razzak has held various senior positions in the Ministry of Health Malaysia as a public health specialist and epidemiologist. 

His academic career began with his post graduation from the University of Malaya. After that, he went for a fellowship training program in Public Health Management and Research in the UK, Fellowship in Communicable Disease Management at the National Medical Centre Hospital, Tokyo, Japan and a Fellowship Attachment on Health Care Management at the California State Health Department. 

He is currently the advisor for higher education for the Melaka Foundation (statutory body under the Melaka State Government) and also sits on the boards of the academic institutions under this foundation.

He is Advisor to Stempeutics Research Malaysia, a leading stem cell research organisation in Malaysia, and is on the Board of Directors of the World Youth Institute and an elected member of the Malaysian Medical Council.
