Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
The academic role involves teaching Pharmacy Practice subjects. Research responsibilities include guiding PhD Research Scholars, Pharm D students and M.Pharm students. Research work in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) focuses on Antiretroviral (ART) Adherence Outcome studies and ART-Drug Interaction studies.
Other research areas include ART-related social stigma, Quality of Life (QOL), ART Pharmacovigilance and ART-Pharmacoeconomic studies. The research also includes ART-Educational Intervention studies in People Living with HIV in India.
Administrative duties involve work with the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to implement an optional assessment and rating system for Pharmacy colleges. The aim is to enhance the Quality of Pharmacy education in India.
