Mr. Vishwajeet Pradeep Mathad

Mr. Vishwajeet Mathad is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hotel Administration and Hospitality. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management (BHM) and an MBA, with over seven years of industry experience across leading international and domestic hotel brands. Having served as Assistant Manager – Front Office, he brings strong operational expertise and industry-driven insights into hospitality education.

His academic and professional interests lie in the areas of Front Office Operations and Management, Revenue Management, Inventory Management, customer service, and hotel operations. He is also certified in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) by STR, reflecting his strong inclination towards hospitality analytics and data-driven decision-making. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he also serves as a faculty mentor, guiding students in their academic, professional, and personal development.

Mr. Mathad actively contributes to institutional development through multiple roles within the institution. He serves as an Admission Ambassador and is the WGSHA Faculty Coordinator for the Volunteer Services Organisation (VSO), MAHE. He is also the In-charge of the Sustainability Society at WGSHA, where he promotes responsible hospitality practices and student engagement initiatives aligned with sustainable development and community participation.
