Dr. Vinu Thomas George

I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, conducting both theory and practical sessions for undergraduate students while guiding them in clinical patient management and short-term research projects. I also mentor postgraduate students in their seminars, research activities and clinical work. I am a Faculty in Advanced Program, Certificate course in Aesthetic Dentistry at Manipal College of Dental Sciencs, Manipal and train the participants in Prosthodontic aspects of Aesthetic rehabilitation.

I contribute to scientific sessions and workshop as Speaker/Mentor during Conferences. I keep myself abreast with advances in the field by participating in short-term courses/fellowship. I contribute to National and International speciality journals and is a Reviewer for SCOPUS/WoS indexed peer reviewed journals.

My research interests include Prosthodontics (Fixed & Removable), Implant Dentistry, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Material Science. In addition to my academic and research responsibilities, I am actively involved in Institutional Ethics Committe activities of Kasturba Medical College & Kasturba Hospital, Manipal and Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal and conduct workshops and training sessions for newly inducted members. In addition to this, the postgraduates are sensitized about Ethics in Research and Publication every year during the Institutional Orientation Program.
