Dr. Babu teaches postgraduate courses in Cell Biology. Her undergraduate teaching portfolio includes Plant Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Intellectual Property Rights, in Plant Sciences. Research Supervision Dr. Babu mentors doctoral and master's students in plant stress physiology, orchid conservation, and metabolic engineering. She guides students through experimental design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and scientific communication.

Professional Service Dr. Babu serves as peer reviewer for eight international journals including Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Current Plant Biology, and Scientia Horticulturae.
