Dr Venkatesh Bhandage

Dr. Venkatesh A. Bhandage serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). With a strong commitment to academic excellence, he is actively involved in teaching-learning process, student mentoring, research and administration.

His research primarily focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with specific emphasis on skin disease classification, neurological disorder classification, and the analysis of spinal cord degeneration. His work aims to develop intelligent clinical decision-support systems that contribute to improved diagnostic accuracy and healthcare outcomes. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Bhandage contributes to institutional development through active participation in the admission committee, accreditation processes, and professional service activities such as peer reviewing and research collaborations.
