Teaches English Language and Linguistics (MA Semester I), Global Englishes (BA Semester VII) and English for Specific Purposes (MA Semester III) in the Department of Languages and Literature. Follows an activity-based, discussion-led approach in which students work with examples drawn from their own languages and everyday contexts, and runs the ESP course in a practical way built around real-world professional communication tasks. Designs course plans, sets question papers, evaluates internal and end-semester examinations and prepares curated reading and video resources for each course.

Research interests in corpus linguistics, discourse analysis and textual analysis, with a current focus on quality frameworks for human annotation and evaluation of language data for AI systems in Indian languages. Has presented findings at national and international conferences and published in reputed journals. Draws on over five years of industry experience in language quality management, localization workflows and AI language data operations to bring empirical, industry-grade evaluation standards into academic research, and keeps updated by attending workshops, conferences and faculty development programmes.

Mentors students beyond the classroom, guiding postgraduates in their dissertations and assignments and engaging with students in open academic discussions on language, linguistics and their applications. Encourages students to explore careers at the intersection of linguistics and language technology. Actively involved in departmental and institutional academic activities including internships & placements.
