Research and Teaching
In and beyond the classroom and laboratory I encourage group learning and discussions. I am involved in teaching, laboratory methods, biomolecules, cell biological pathways, protein biology, different disease related biology, such as, cancer biology, neurodegenerative disorders. I am teaching in three different courses in MIRM, in Stem Cell Biology course (SCT & RB), in Translational Immunology (TI) course and in Translational Neuroscience (TN) courses. I am involved in seting up question papers, invigilating theory examinations and conducting practical examinations.
I actively guide postgraduates in their research activities and seminars; I am heavily involved in guiding postgraduate students in their thesis as guide. My lab is performing research in the field of Cell Biology, more specifically in field of Autophagy, Lysosome biology, Amino Acid Homeostasis and studying impact of extracellular environment on multiple cellular pathways and aspects. I update my knowledge and interact with the scientific world by attending workshops and presenting my lab research in International and National conferences. As a teacher for undergraduate and postgraduate students, I am putting my best efforts to enlight them with the current research going on world-wide.
I am giving my best to help them in and outside the classrooms. Guide the postgraduate students in their short-term research projects. I am actively involved in the departmental and institutional other academic activities. For example, I am deeply involved in organizing conferences, and seminars in the department and institute. Among multiple seminar series, recently I have organized 'International Conference in Autophagy' in MAHE, Bangalore campus, where multiple Foriegn and National eminent scientists were invited and presented their elegent research in MAHE, BLR campus.
