Mr. Trivikram T N

An architect, urban designer, academician, and researcher, he has over a decade of experience in architectural and urban design education. His teaching approach encourages students to engage with field-based learning, documentation, observation, and critical enquiry, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between people, place, culture, and the built environment. He has been actively involved in teaching and guiding undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Architecture programme and postgraduate students in the M.Arch Urban Design programme.

His academic responsibilities include curriculum delivery, preparation of examination question papers, invigilation of theory examinations, conduct of practical examinations, and mentoring of student research and design projects. His research interests broadly encompass cultural landscapes, urban design, placemaking, and foodscapes in urban areas, with an emphasis on understanding the social, cultural, spatial, and experiential dimensions of cities and public spaces. His academic and research interests are strongly informed by field-based inquiry and documentation of urban and cultural environments.

He is a registered architect with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Urban Designers India (IUDI). In addition to teaching and research, he is actively involved in departmental and institutional academic activities. He has contributed to the planning and organisation of several academic programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences, and has served as a member of the core organising committees for multiple conferences and academic events conducted at the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP).
