Dr. Swarupa Panda

Currently engaged in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Synthetic Biology, Tissue Engineering, and Molecular Medicine. Employs interactive and student-centered teaching approaches through group discussions, practical demonstrations, and laboratory-based training sessions for MBBS and postgraduate students. Actively contributes to academic evaluation through preparation of question papers, invigilation of theory examinations, and conduct of practical and viva examinations. Provides guidance to undergraduate students in research activities, seminars, dissertation work, and thesis-related projects.

Research activities are focused on ferroptosis, cancer metabolism, pancreatic cancer biology, inflammation, and the molecular pathways involved in tumor progression. Involved in translational and interdisciplinary research integrating molecular biology, cell biology, and therapeutic intervention strategies. Continuously enhances academic and research expertise through participation in workshops, conferences, and scientific meetings.

Serves as a mentor and teacher guardian for undergraduate students by offering academic and professional guidance beyond classroom teaching. Supervises students in short-term research projects, journal clubs, and seminar presentations. Also actively contributes to departmental and institutional academic activities, including curriculum development, laboratory organization, collaborative research initiatives, and scientific outreach programs.
