Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
I am actively involved in a wide spectrum of academic, clinical, and educational responsibilities within the field of Critical Care Medicine. My teaching activities encompass bedside training, didactic sessions, simulation-based learning, and the implementation of innovative teaching methodologies for super-specialty, postgraduate, nursing, and allied health sciences students. I am engaged in the academic training of DM Critical Care Medicine registrars, MD General Medicine residents, and MD Anesthesiology postgraduates, with emphasis on evidence-based intensive care practices, advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, trauma management, and multidisciplinary ICU care.
In addition, I contribute significantly to the education and clinical training of Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) candidates and Respiratory Therapy students, promoting collaborative and integrated critical care practice. I also serve as a co-guide for postgraduate thesis and dissertation work across various academic programs, including MSc and NPCC courses, mentoring students in research methodology, clinical reasoning, and scholarly activities. My academic contributions include regular bedside discussions, communication skills training, and participation in competency-based medical education initiatives.
I am a certified instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), actively participating in structured emergency care education and simulation-based trauma training programs. Furthermore, I am associated with the Medical Education Department as faculty, contributing to faculty development initiatives and innovative teaching-learning practices. Through sustained involvement in teaching, mentorship, simulation training, and academic research activities, I remain committed to advancing excellence in critical care education and professional development.
