Dr. Smitha Sammith Shetty

Teaches Dental Anatomy, Oral Histology and Oral Pathology to BDS students. Prepares course materials, syllabus and question papers for undergraduate program. Is involved in practical classes and demonstrations in the subject of Dental Anatomy, Oral Histology and Oral Pathology. Conducts formative and summative assessments for students.

Provides histopathological diagnosis for oral lesions. Guides postgraduates and PhD scholars in their research activities as Guide/Co guide. Is a teacher guardian to undergraduate students and gives my best to help them outside the classrooms. Guide the undergraduate students in their short term research projects.

Guide the undergraduate in their paper/poster presentations in the conferences. Actively involved in the departmental and institutional other academic activities. To coordinate and manage Institutional PhD academic activities, including pre-DAC meetings, IPAC reviews, and half-yearly progress DAC meetings. Does research in the field of various fields of oral pathology and Microbiology and updates my knowledge by attending CMEs, workshops and conferences at national and state levels.
