Dr. Shreeya Ajaykrishnan Menon

Encourages active learning and interactive discussions in undergraduate and postgraduate classrooms. Teaches Theories of Personality to BA Psychology students and Qualitative Research Methods to postgraduate students. Serves as Course Coordinator for both courses and is involved in preparing lesson plans, rubrics and question papers, evaluating answer scripts, and conducting practical and viva examinations. Serves as a mentor to Semester 1 undergraduate Psychology students and provides guidance on their academic progress, attendance, wellbeing and career-related concerns.

Guides undergraduate students in research projects and dissertations and postgraduate students in their research activities, seminars, research proposals and dissertations. Also guides students in academic presentations and case presentations. Is involved in research and student research supervision in the areas of military families, resilience and coping, children from military families, intervention research, and gender and sexuality. Serves as a member of the Sub-Ethics Committee for the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences.

Actively participates in the organisation of FDPs, workshops, conferences and other departmental and institutional academic activities. Has six years of professional experience as a Counselling Psychologist and brings professional experience into teaching, student mentoring and research supervision. Regularly attends workshops, faculty development programmes and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and academic practice.
