Dr Selva Kumar M

Dr. Selvakumar M. joined the Manipal Institute of Technology in August 2008 and has since made significant contributions to academics, research, administration, and student development. Over the years, he has actively contributed to institutional growth through key roles such as Time Table Coordinator, Academic Management System Coordinator, Department Research Coordinator, MIT Sports Advisor, and presently as Assistant Director (Technical) of the Central Analytical Instrumentation Facility (CAIF). He has played a major role in curriculum development and teaching for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, handling courses in Engineering Chemistry, Analytical Instrumentation, Green Chemistry, and Sustainable Chemical Processes.

His research expertise in Electrochemistry and Flexible Electronics has led to the successful guidance of seven Ph.D. scholars, with several more currently pursuing research under his supervision. Dr. Selvakumar has also served as a Board of Studies member, examiner, invited speaker, and Adjunct Faculty at Manipal University Jaipur. Through his dedication to teaching, research excellence, leadership, and student mentorship, he continues to inspire students by bridging academic knowledge with real-world innovation, encouraging them towards research, discipline, and professional growth.
