Ms Saraswati Kulkarani

Dr. Saraswati Kulkarni serves as an Assistant Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology under Manipal Academy of Higher Education. She actively promotes interactive and student-centered learning through classroom teaching, laboratory demonstrations, and hands-on sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is involved in preparing course materials, setting question papers, conducting theory and practical examinations, and mentoring students in academic and research activities. Her academic interests include nanomaterials, chemiresistive gas sensors, biosensors, and machine learning-assisted sensing technologies.

She guides students in short-term research projects, seminars, technical presentations, and interdisciplinary learning activities. She also supports postgraduate students in their dissertation and research work by providing technical guidance in material synthesis, characterization, and sensor development. Dr. Saraswati Kulkarni actively participates in departmental and institutional academic responsibilities, curriculum-related activities, workshops, conferences, and faculty development programs to continuously update her knowledge and teaching methodologies. She has experience in handling laboratory courses related to electronic devices, circuits, VLSI technology, and nanotechnology-related applications. She also serves as a mentor and teacher guardian for students, encouraging collaborative learning, innovation, and research-oriented thinking beyond the classroom environment.
