Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
As a teaching and research faculty member, I am actively engaged in various teaching–learning activities, including workload distribution, lesson planning and execution, student monitoring and guidance, facilitating self-directed learning, delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions and group discussions, mentoring slow learners, and handling examination-related responsibilities for B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) students.
I am also actively involved in research activities as a mentor and guide for students in the field of phytopharmaceutical research using advanced techniques. My research interests include herbal drugs, nano-herbal formulations, isolation and characterization of phytoconstituents, pharmacological screening of herbal drugs/phytoconstituents, and the formulation and development of herbal products. In addition, I contribute to innovation through patent filing and by publishing research findings in reputed national and international journals.
To continuously enhance my professional knowledge and skills, I regularly participate in Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and national and international conferences. I also serve as a recognized external examiner for UG, PG, and PhD programmes at various reputed universities. As a pharmacognosist, I have a special interest in nature and medicinal plants, particularly in their identification, authentication, herbarium preparation, and conservation. I am also actively involved in departmental and institutional academic activities.
