She has patented the “Handy tissue microarrayer that can be used widely in cancer researcher. On the research front, she is interesting in carrying out research pertaining to the oral cancers and Precancers. She is actively involved in providing the histopathological diagnosis for patients with oral lesions who report to Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal and Kasturba Hospital as well as from other health care institutions. She is also the chairperson of the Dental Teacher empowerment centre of the institution.
