Dr. Maria Celine Liya

Delivers engaging psychology classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students, blending classical and contemporary theory with experiential and practical applications. Currently teaches Educational Psychology and Applied Social Psychology.

Mentors and supervises students through thesis development, guiding research design, data analysis, and academic writing, and serves as an academic mentor to UG students. Also serves as a member of the curriculum review committee and the placement coordinator for the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences.

Pursues an interdisciplinary research programme spanning behavioural and decision sciences, traffic and driver-behaviour psychology (including a validated cyclic model and its mathematical/dynamical-systems formalisation), social and organisational psychology, and community mental health.
