Dr. Krishna Kishore Mahato

Dr. Krishna Kishore Mahato is a Professor in the Department of Biophysics at the institution and is involved in teaching UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses of the institution, as well as guiding interdisciplinary research programs. He guides full-time Ph.D. students, undergraduates, and postgraduates from within the institution and from the MAHE sister institutions. He is also involved in designing various courses and curricula of the institution.

He conducts research in the fields of laser spectroscopy for biomedical investigations, developing novel optical instrumentation for early cancer diagnosis, liquid biopsy applications, Protein fingerprinting for neurodegenerative disorders, secondary diabetes complications, and machine learning applications. The application of photoacoustic spectroscopy in cancer diagnosis through novel instrumentation and Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for tissue regeneration are other important areas of his research. He is actively involved in departmental and institutional academic activities, including curriculum development, board of studies meetings, research committee assignments, and quality enhancement initiatives.
