Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
Dr Kavitha Saravu has been involved in the academic and clinical training of medical students and internal medicine postgraduate residents for the past 25 years. Attends to outpatients and inpatients and supervises resident doctors and interns. She has trained competent physicians who are currently practising specialists in India and overseas.
Does research and is currently involved in various clinically relevant research projects on tropical diseases, mainly melioidosis, malaria, tuberculosis, scrub typhus, leptospirosis, and KFD. Also attends various CMEs, workshops, and conferences at the international, national and state levels to update knowledge.
Guides PhD students and actively involved in the departmental and institutional academic activities.
