Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
Dr. Ganesh Mohan, MBBS, MD (Transfusion Medicine), is Professor and Head of the Department of Immunohaematology and Blood Transfusion at Kasturba Medical College Manipal, MAHE. A gold medallist of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (2016), he is an ISTH Fellow in Coagulation Disorders (2025) and a recipient of the prestigious JR Jolly Award from ISBTI (2024).
He is a member of ISBT working parties (three) and an active scientific member of International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH). His role as a scientific coordinator in national organisations like ISTM, ISBTI and TMAS has been a pillor of support for various academic prorams over the years. He is also an active working party member of Academic and Curriculum development group for Indian Society on Transfusion Medicine.
Apart from this, he is interested in capacity building, creating digital content for education purpose and mentoring young professionals.
