Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
Encourages active learning through lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in core areas of Mechanical/Automobile Engineering such as Vehicle Electrification and Hybridization, Battery and Fuel Cell Technology, Heat Transfer and Turbomachinery. Designs course content, prepares question papers, evaluates student performance, and conducts theory and practical examinations in accordance with academic regulations. Integrates computational and experimental approaches to strengthen conceptual understanding, particularly in areas related to CFD, thermal systems, and vehicle engineering applications.
Actively guides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students in academic projects, laboratory work, and research-oriented assignments, with emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Finite Element Methods, Heat Exchangers, Composite Materials, and Battery Thermal Management systems. Supervises student research projects aimed at publications, internships, and industry-relevant problem solving. Continuously updates technical knowledge through participation in national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes in emerging areas such as electric mobility, additive manufacturing, and advanced thermal systems.
Contributes to institutional development through student mentoring, academic advising, and supporting student welfare initiatives as a faculty mentor. Engages in enhancing student employability through career guidance, skill development activities, and interaction with industry professionals and alumni networks. Participates in departmental academic and administrative responsibilities, fostering a collaborative learning environment and supporting initiatives that strengthen research culture, innovation, and industry-academia engagement.
