Dr Bhakti Umesh Hirlekar

Engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. Prepares question papers, conducts theory and practical, and participates in evaluation and other academic assessment activities. Guides undergraduate and postgraduate students in seminars, project work, and research-related activities.

Actively involved in mentoring students for short-term research projects and dissertation work in the fields of computational chemistry, and molecular modeling. Actively engaged in research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD), Quantum Chemistry, Molecular Modeling, and AI/ML-assisted drug discovery.

Continuously updates academic and research knowledge by attending FDPs, workshops, conferences, and seminars at national and international levels. Actively contributes to departmental and institutional academic, research, and co-curricular activities.
