Mrs. Bhagyajyothi . Rao

A committed and proactive academic, she teaches Biostatistics, Statistical Inference, Design and Analysis of Experiments, Python Programming, and Advanced Excel to postgraduate students in Data Science, Biostatistics, and Life Sciences. She employs innovative teaching methods, practical assignments, case-based activities, and hands-on training, while preparing question papers, conducting examinations and viva voce assessments, and evaluating student performance.

Her interdisciplinary research interests include public health, epidemiology, demography, maternal and child health, environmental and socioeconomic determinants, and crimes against women, using spatial analysis, machine learning, multicriteria decision-making, composite indices, and explainable AI. She guides postgraduate and doctoral research, mentors students in data analysis, scientific writing, presentations, statistical software, and evidence-based methods, and contributes actively to academic administration and institutional innovation. She also organizes and participates in conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, and lifelong learning.
