Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
I teach three courses this semester: two statistics courses — Statistical Methods (BEC2402) for the BA Double Majors Economics programme, and Basic Statistics for Marketing (BJM4707) for BAJMC. and Everyday Economics, an open elective for non-specialists.
I mentor a group of students formally assigned to me under the department's mentoring system, and I am developing a workshop on working with large-scale databases, extending my own research experience with large panel datasets to students.
My research centres on a sustained programme examining India's mandatory CSR regime (Section 135, Companies Act 2013) across accounting, finance, and governance. Current projects include studies on CSR and ESG performance, cost of capital, and financial constraints. I also write occasional public-facing commentary and collaborate with leading institutes worldwide on this research programme.
