Current Academic Role & Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction for the M.Sc. Clinical Virology program. Core subject areas include Epidemiology, One Health in Virology, Intellectual Property Rights & Patenting, and Virology Laboratory Design & Management. Serve as a mentor and supervisor for final-year postgraduate students, providing technical guidance and oversight for 4th-semester research dissertations at Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV).
Actively organize and execute specialized workshops, training programs, and certificate courses for the Institute. Serve as a Resource Person for advanced training modules, including: Laboratory Techniques: Basic and Advanced Virological Techniques, Molecular Diagnostics, Cell Culture, and Medical Entomology. Clinical & Public Health: Clinical & Diagnostic Virology, Outbreak Preparedness, and Biosafety & Biosecurity. Act as the NABL Coordinator and Technical Manager for Quality Assurance at the Viral Diagnostic Laboratory.
Ensure stringent institutional adherence to ISO 15189:2022 standards, overseeing diagnostic accuracy, laboratory safety, and international quality benchmarks.
