Dr. Amrita Parida

Serving as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacology at Kasturba Medical College, responsibilities include undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research mentorship, and academic administration. Academic activities involve competency-based medical education, clinical pharmacology training, curriculum development, student mentoring, and assessment activities. Also contributes as a faculty pool member for the Department of Artificial Intelligence, supporting interdisciplinary initiatives integrating healthcare and emerging technologies.

Research interests include pharmacology, public health, translational research, antimicrobial resistance, cancer pharmacology, digital health, and laboratory animal science. Contributions include scholarly publications, collaborative research projects, and guidance of undergraduate and postgraduate student research, including ICMR STS projects.

Currently serving as Member Secretary of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee and actively involved in initiatives related to research ethics, animal welfare, faculty development, and academic collaborations through the Center for Animal Research, Ethics, and Training (CARET). Engagement also includes student mentoring and interdisciplinary projects promoting innovation and professional growth.
