CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Babi Dutta teaches undergraduate medical students with USMLE style teaching with emphasis on genetics and genetic diseases. He also conducts both theory and practical classes for MBBS and BDS students. He sets question paper for MMMC university examinations for BDS and Allied Health Sciences courses.

    He is:

    • Involved in teaching MBBS, Refresher MBBS, BDS and Allied Health Science, BPT, BOT, BRTT, BMLT and B.Sc Health Sciences students.
    • Involved in Problem based learning and self-directed learning sessions as facilitator for MBBS and BDS and in preparation of schedule for the lectures and practical classes for MBBS, BDS and Allied Health Sciences courses.
    • Examination coordinator for MBBS.
    • Expert for university practical examinations for MBBS.
    • Invigilator for class tests, examinations and university examinations for MBBS and BDS.
    • Also involved in updating study materials/ assessments of the department.
    • Clinical case coordinator for Integrated Case Based Learning & PBL
    • Sets question papers for block/semester/university examinations.
    • Is involved in group discussion of question papers with the colleagues (Modification of question paper, if required).
    • Coordinates theory/practical examinations
    • Provides Academic/Non-academic guidance/support and additional academic assistance to students
    • Involved in teaching Cell Biology and Genetics for B.Sc Health Sciences (ICHS) students
    • Guides mentored student projects.
    • Scrutinises and signs the biochemical reports of the blood/urine/other biological fluid samples of patients from Dr TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi
