Research Assistant — GHCL-Funded Industry Project

Job Description

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, an Institution of Eminence deemed to be University, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Research Assistant for a GHCL Limited, Ahmedabad funded industry project at the Manipal Institute of Applied Physics, Manipal. The project is titled "Development of a LIBS-Based Rapid and Real-Time Method for Possible Gross Calorific Value (GCV) Determination of Coal."

Responsibilities

• Set up a LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) system.
• Carry out sample preparation.
• Conduct experiments and perform data analysis.

Eligibility

A Master's in Photonics, Physics, or Applied Physics with first class. Prior research experience in laser and spectroscopy experiments is highly desirable, and knowledge of spectral data processing is an added advantage.

Mode of Engagement

Full-time · Initially for 8 months, further extendable if performance is satisfactory.

Remuneration: ₹40,000 per month (consolidated).
