Job Description

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal — an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University — invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Director – Electrical, to be based at the MAHE Manipal campus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems across educational institutions, hospitals, and other facilities.

• Ensure all MEP systems comply with applicable local regulations, codes, and safety standards.

• Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of MEP infrastructure.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and building automation technologies.

• Provide strong leadership and team management to guide maintenance personnel and ensure high performance.

• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders through excellent written and verbal communication.

• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain detailed documentation with strong organizational discipline.

Eligibility

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably within a university or the education sector.
