Study the three disciplines that sit at the heart of modern technology: mathematics, statistics, and computer science. This programme brings the three streams together in a single, carefully structured curriculum, so you graduate with deep theoretical understanding and strong practical training across all of them. From the fifth semester onwards you begin shaping the degree around your own interests, choosing Open Electives from departments across the institute and Program Electives from the School of Computer Engineering, with further choices opening up in the seventh semester. Alongside advanced mathematics, you can take a Minor Specialisation in a contemporary area such as Information Management and Analytics, Business Management, Finance and Security Analytics, or Health Care Analytics. Meritorious students who reach a CGPA of 8 or above by the end of the fifth semester have the option to continue towards a B.Tech (Hons), adding further academic depth to an already rigorous degree.

QUALIFICATION

Indian Boards

You must have successfully completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any Technical Vocational subject with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and English as a compulsory subject.

A Levels

You must have successfully completed A Levels with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or any Technical Vocational subject with a minimum Grade D average at the A Level, English at the AS Level, or have a minimum of five passes in IGCSE, GCSE, or GCE O Level examinations, including English.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

You must have successfully completed the IB Diploma or IB Certificate with English, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or any Technical Vocational subject (preferably Mathematics and Physics at Higher Level). You must also have: • A minimum of 3 points in each subject. • 3 Higher Level (HL) and 3 Standard Level (SL) subjects. • At least 2 science subjects at HL. • An average of at least 4 points in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject. • An overall minimum of 24 points. • You must appear for MET 2027 and secure the required cutoff. • Technical Vocational subjects must be related to Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical streams. If you are applying through JEE Main CRL Rank, you must have: • If you are in an Indian Board, a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject. • If you are an A level student then you must have an average Grade A. • If you are an IB student then you must have average 6 points. • A minimum 90 percentile in JEE Main 2027. Foreign/ NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates are exempted from the entrance test.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Manipal awards scholarship for its Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) students under the following categories

Continuation of Scholarship

The scholarship will be extended in subsequent years only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of the immediate previous year before the due date for payment of the annual program fee. Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades will NOT be eligible for a scholarship for that academic year. The scholarships will be forfeited in the event of irregular attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, or bringing disrepute to the Department/Institution/University, etc.

Withdrawal Policy

In case the SAGES scholar leaves the course before its completion (for any reason), he/she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per the Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilised to MAHE Manipal.
